Meadowbrook Carnival

Friday night was our school carnival. It began with a 5k run. Many families participated walking and running. My knee is still giving me trouble so I was unable to run. Mr. Mueller, who was in charge of the run asked if I would bring up the end on my bike, so I did. The carnival began at 5 and Jim picked Kate up and met me there. There were more people this year, I believe ,than last year. We ate dinner, but Kate was so occupied by all the kids she didn't eat much. She had fun at the fish pond and we had her face painted, although while I was working at one of the booths, Jim went and had the eye paint added. I had to take a picture. We did the cake walk and bid on the silent auction. Kate had snow cones, cotton candy, suckers, and more than her parents would care to know. Sorry, mom and dad if she was a little wound up. Keith, Sara and Megan join us just at the end and was able to do a few things. It was a fun night and even better having my family to enjoy it with.

Yeah she slept horrible friday night. I don't know what it was but she woke up so many times I don't even remember. No worries though. She's entitled to have fun and go wild with grandma and grandpa once in a while. Luckily with Kate those kind of nights are few and far between so no harm done, I'd rather she have some fun.

I'm so sorry. I promise we won't be doing that very often. I sure had fun watching her have fun.
