Today I was a little late in getting ready for church. I quickly walked into to church just a couple of minutes for the meeting was to begin. I sat down on the bench just behind the Mecham's. I smiled at my husband, but he didn't see me so I quietly sat waiting for the meeting to begin. Just then Brother Mecham turned to me and said, "Isn't that Elder Oaks sitting next to your husband?" My head shot up and my heart stopped a beat. It was Elder Oaks sitting next to my husband. What an opportunity for us to have an apostle of God in our ward. I was able to meet and shake hands with him after the meeting. What a kind and gentle man and he radiated the light of Christ. He stayed for all three hours of our block visiting Sunday school classes, Relief Society, and Priesthood. He bore his testimony, and I felt the spirit bear testimony to me that he was a prophet of God. What a special Sunday for our ward. One I will not ever forget.

Slightly intimidating when he walked in for the last ten minutes of my Gospel Doctrine lesson-but a great experience nonetheless! What a wonderful experience for our ward.
Tiffany, you gave an wonderful lesson as usual. I always enjoy your experiences so never stop sharing please.
That was such a gift. I think sometimes we just get to have little or in this case BIG rewards from heaven. He is one neat guy!
