Happy Birthday Keith!!

That's the face of a happy child. Keith was always happy as a child and can still brighten my day and make me laugh. He is 31 yrs. today. I can't believe how fast time flys.

He is our spot of sunshine, a wonderful husband and the best father to his two beautiful little girls. I guess I'm just a very proud mother. Happy Birthday Son!!! We love you!!!!
At one point the bowl is on his head.

Such a little man.

Go Cougars!!

I love the smile these three girls put on his face.

Thankful!

Last year I posted something I was thankful for every day of November until Thanksgiving. I was sitting in a young woman's class today and they wrote in their spiritual journals. It reminded me that I have not been very thankful lately. I know it's a bit late in the month, but it's never too late to show gratitude. As I listened to the lesson in this class about Temples and the blessings that come from an eternal family, my heart was bursting. I thought about our eternal family and how I look forward to the day when I can see my mom and dad and two sisters again. The longing I have for them some days is painful, but how grateful I am for the knowledge I have that we will be together.

I think of my little family, Keith, Sara, Kate and Megan and rejoice that I have so much joy in my life. I love to have my family together. Kate slept over last night and woke this morning at about 5:30 to go to the bathroom. I stumbled out of bed and as I lifted her out of bed and took her into the light her beautiful face smiled at me and I almost cried. My tiredness left me and all I felt was deep gratitude. How sweet and precious these little ones are.

And Jim, he is my rock! He showers me with unconditional love and compliments. He understands my weaknesses, and doesn't judge me. I turn to him for strength and he is always there.

My sisters, nieces, nephews and all my in-laws all hold special places in my heart. FAMILY!! I can't imagine life without them.

Grandma Weekend :)

Keith and Sara are in New York. Sara's father is running the marathon. Grandma Kathy is tending the girls and I offered to take them a night to help her out. So they came for the weekend.

I bought these pink boots in Afton last week end for Kate's 3rd birthday in December. I was afraid they were going to be too small. So when she was at my house this week end I tried them on her and she wouldn't let me take them back. Yes, I know - stupid of me, but I thought maybe if they didn't fit I could find a store around that sold the same boot. I think I have seen them at Smith and Edwards. I was happy they fit. She loved them and wouldn't take them off. She said "I look like Jessie (from toy story). Now all I need is a hate."
Well, you have to know grandpa - he went to the store for a few items and came back with a red hat. She loved it!! I got the biggest kick out of her galloping around the room.

Little miss Megan is all over the place. I have to block off the stairs or she is up them licity split. She crawled into the kitchen while I was in the living room. When I went to see what she was doing she had climbed up on one of the small chairs and was standing there playing with their little tea set. She about scared me to death. Jim put the chairs up so she couldn't get to them, because she kept going back again and again.
When she looks at you with those big baby blue eyes it melts my heart. I love it when she gets shy and puts her head on my shoulder.

We went outside to build a snowman Saturday. Kate loves to be outside. We ran all over the yard trying to wear her out, but alas it did not work. She is a definite outdoors girl.

Megan wasn't out long and we tried to get her to stand by the snowman and.....

She toppled over.

It was so fun having them stay over. They go none stop.

Sister's Trip to Star Valley

We had a very fun time in Star Valley, Wy. this past weekend. It was more quiet than usual. Only Jana and I went this year, but we still had a great time. I loved sleeping in every morning and not feeling rushed to start my day. We did some shopping down town Afton and ate at our favorite fish place. Oh, it tasted sooooo good. Although I wished I would have had some clam chowder. We stopped on our way home to bring some home for dinner and they were closed. Oh well, maybe next year.
Saturday, we went to Jackson Hole. It was a little windy and a bit cold, but we seemed to get our shopping and lunch in. The town was pretty dead. I liked not having a lot of people there. Didn't have to fight the crowds.
We watched scary movies and had some good laughs.
Thanks Jana for taking the time to be here. I look forward to our get together's and don't know what I would do without my sisters!! They keep me sane. I needed that weekend to get grounded again, and now I'm ready for what ever comes next.

My pictures are out of order - This was on our way home. We had to laugh. There was nothing we could do but wait. The man on the left finally got on his horse and cleared a path for us to get through. They went on for ever.........

I hate this picture. I didn't realize it until later, but this is the same shirt I had on last year for pictures at the cabin. It makes me look chunky, but it was warm.

We saw lots of deer around the cabin. They weren't too afraid of us, but kept close watch in case we got too close.

Love you Sis!!
