With spring finally here I was able to ride my bike to work all week. It was great! Although this cold weekend has put a bit of a damper on the coming week. As much as we have needed the rain I'm sure hoping this next week clears up enough to keep on riding.
I have really enjoy these past few months not having any class'. I took this last semester off to have a well needed break. I don't regret it a bit. But, now it's back to work. I registered for another English class and come May 11th, it's back at the books. I have to admit I have missed learning. I hadn't intended on taking a summer class, but this will put me back on track.
I'm looking forward to girls camp this summer especially now that I'm not the camp director. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it, but it was a lot of hard work and worry. I look forward to not being in charge, visiting with all the girls, and I think a few pranks are in the works.

WATER!!

Believe it or not – WE ARE GETTING WATER!!!! That’s right – after 10 years in our home the city is bringing water down our street. I can’t tell you how excited I am.
When we moved into our home 10 years ago our well was producing a fair amount of water. The water pressure was not the best, but I could live with it. It doesn’t taste very good so we bring in drinking water, and for everything else, cleaning, showering, laundry, it was ok. As the years have passed the pressure has decreased more and more every year, and the water isn't as good. With my long hair it sometimes takes me 20 minutes just to wash my hair. I can't wait to take a quick shower, a big drink out of the faucet, and to having more pressure. There will be a lot of work, and a few new things to purchase (like a new water heater), but it will be worth it. I hope they begin the work soon, because it just doesn't seem real until I actually see the work coming.

I love spring! There are many reasons that spring is one of my favorite times of the year. So, I'm going to share my favorite things about spring.
I love the flowers shooting up out of the ground, and the sheet of green that covers the ground. It bring new color to the drab life at the end of winter.
I love Easter. The sacrifice our Saviour gave for us fills me with Hope and Joy for a better tomorrow. Easter was a beautiful day. Our ward choir put on our program and it was wonderful. Their music brought the spirit to my day in the most perfect way.
I love the yummy chocolate this time of year. Cadbury, one of my favorite!
I love being able to put away my sweaters, and wear some lighter clothing. Well, so much for today.
I'm excited to start riding my bike again. Over spring break I took a few long bike rides. It was so relaxing, and the warm sun felt so good on my face.
I love all the new baby animals being born. Every animals is cute when it's born.
I love all the fresh fruits and vegetables in season. They taste so much better this time of year.
And last but not least - It means school is out soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope spring comes and stay's soon.

What is going through their minds?

Having a grand-daughter is truly a great blessing in our lives. It reminds me often of when I was a mother. How I loved being a mother. I watch my grand-daughter grow, and contemplate how quickly the years of my own son's childhood passed quickly by. I took for granted that my memory would always remember every little aspect of my child's life. How could I forget when it was so precious. Well, time takes it's toll, and your memory turns on you. There are some you remember, but many precious moments of sweet innocent times, are now clouded over. Keith was a sweet funny child, and said some of the most precious things. There is one that has always stood out in my memories of his childhood. He was about four years old, when in the car with me he began to point to the sky as a jet traveling through the air left a beautiful white jet stream, and with all the excitement of an Innocent child said: look mom, there's Jesus' side walk.
Now that I am older and my memory is not as good as it used to be I have promised myself I would not forget those precious moments of my grand children. So I have started a journal for Kate. Yes, she is still very small, but I record the sweet times we have together. The other night while we were tending her I took this little video of her talking. I just had to share it.

Happy Birthday X's Three!

Today is a special day for three of my favorite people.

Happy Birthday to my sister Jana, in Mesa Arizona. I miss her, and wish I could be with her celebrating. She is my very talented younger sister, and an amazing mother of four. She is the Queen of the kitchen, and pretty much everything else she tries. I love you sis.

Happy Birthday to my daughter-in-law Sara! She has been an added blessing to our family. She has a contagious laugh, she's talented, smart and is a good mother and wife to my son and grand-daughter. Sara graduated from the U of U in communications. She is now a devoted stay at home mother, and a darn good one at that. We love her very much.

Happy Birthday to my niece Stefan. Stefan is talented and funny, and I love her stories. She graduated from the U of U and works at the UofU UNI - It's a psych unit. We have had a lot of good times as she was growing up and now at the cabin. I love you Stef.
