102 Margaret A. Good Fox

Today is Memorial day - Kate spent the night last night and we enjoyed an active morning with our sweet grand-daughter.
We visited the graves of my parents, grandparents, aunt, and two sisters. Good memories fill my heart as we walked through the cemetary. Beautiful flowers filled the grounds and Kate enjoyed all the balloons and flags. Yet, with a slight sadness I thought of my mother-in-law and all that she was feeling this day. We received a phone call just before leaving that Jim's grandmother passed away this morning. She was 102 years old. She lived in Logan, Ohio. Full of life this woman was. I love to listen to Jim's stories of his grandmother. Kitty Grandma is what most called her. She had a coat with a fur collar. The grandchildren would softly stroke it and say kitty. Hence she received the name Kitty Grandma. It fit her. She was gentle and yet had wild streek to her.
I have always considered her my grandmother as well. We had some great times together. I loved playing cards with her, and could play shang-hi-rummy for hours. She hasn't visited Utah for many years. As she got into her 90's the altitude was difficult on her and she would sleep non stop and have trouble breathing. But, before that time, Jshe loved coming and always talked us into taking her to Wendover for a night.
In her mind she was not old.She talked of others her age as those old people and we would just chuckle.
I have so many, many sweet memories of this dear lady that I will treasure them for the eternities.
We love you Kitty Grandma!

Her 100th Birthday
