She did it!!

This morning we got up early, Kate had spent the night so we got her dressed, and drove to Salt Lake to watch Sara run her half marathon. Keith, left very early and dropped Sara and her Father, Tom, off at the University of Utah where they began the race.
After arriving at the gateway we got Kate, into her stroller and starting walking towards the fountain where the finish line, and Keith, were waiting for us. I woke with a terrible headache this morning and my glasses were hurting my eyes so while we were walking I took my glasses off and put them in my coat pocket. We got their quicker than had anticipated so we had about an hour wait. I reached into my pocket and my glasses were gone. You know that absolute sick feeling you get when you have lost an expensive and very needed item? Well that's how I felt. There were people everywhere and we had walked quite a distance. I walked back a bit, but found nothing. Well, there was nothing I could do at that point so I focused my attention back to the race hoping that on the way back to the car I might find them.
I had woken Kate a little early this morning and she was very tired, but the helicopter and mascot Tiger running around were keeping her some what occupied.
There were runners coming across the finish line with their hand over their mouth, and then letting it loose on the side line. I felt bad for them.
Then, at 2:00 hours on the dot, Sara came running across the finish line. She did AWESOME!! She didn't even look winded. Tom, finished about 5 minutes later.
Sara, we are so proud of you!! Keep up the great work and you will be ready for the big one in August.

Hurray for Sara. I think all that running on windy days must have helped make her stronger. I am impressed. And thanks Sara, for telling us that Bonnie found her glasses. I was wondering about them. She must have been so proud of you that she forgot that part.
